My new keyboard took up too much shelf space and left very little room for the mouse. That's the only reason I got it and I'm glad I did! so far it has been great! and the padded palm rest is very comfortable! The only downside I have with this product is that I would like the end that the mouse sits on to be a bit thicker/sturdier. When I first attached it I put my hand on it when I got up, luckily I caught myself before I overloaded it and broke it. I'm used to not doing this when getting up, but I'll admit it was a bit difficult at first. That being said, I would recommend this to anyone who needs a bit more space or just wants their mouse closer to them and off the table. It's really great and I would buy it again! Edit: Just wanted to let you all know that I did NOT pay $40 and wouldn't pay that much for a second one. I got mine for a little over half the price. If it was thicker plastic and more durable then yes, maybe $40 would be fair.
