The film is of very poor quality.

I have been using this product for at least 5 years. The razor is excellent; However, the foil is always easily torn and is therefore unusable. Replacement slides are $16 each. The last 5 or so were extremely poor quality. In fact, the last 3 became useless after a week or two. I sincerely hope that Avalanche Brand will consider refunding me at least the last few spare umbrellas. Ultimately, I hope that the company will significantly improve the film's wear resistance.
