For comfort reasons I took one size bigger. The wide waistband is not loose at all. Suitable for a high waist above the stomach (good for slouching). There is a tip but I didn't need it. Soft material. Feels thin, but black is not transparent and durable enough with regular washing. Narrow, loose ankle cuffs prevent pants from dragging. No need to hem. The extra length drapes naturally for a petite 5'2" woman. The pockets are handy for a cell phone.
