I was looking for a smooth brimmed shower cap that wasn't too big and puffy. I have short hair so I don't need a lot of room in my shower cap. They seem to be making shower caps for people with long hair these days. It has an extra room but not huge. While there is an elastic band on the back of the shower cap making it comfortable, the fabric covering the elastic is nice and smooth and doesn't have the itchy/scratchy extra fabric/plastic that many shower caps cling to.elastic. . The front of the band is nice and smooth, no elastic. I always wear a headband under my shower cap so my bangs don't get in the way and my hair stays tied back. This cap fits comfortably over your headband and keeps your hair dry. The hat dries the air well. The pressure is comfortable. I would like a choice of a plain cap: white, aqua or navy blue. I haven't had it for a long time so I can't attest to how it's worn. Seems to be well made, hope it lasts a long time.
