One of the last tips I read before packing for a long trip was to pack individual items of clothing into dry cleaning bags before packing into a garment bag will . This is compliant. In fact, my dresses and semi-formals arrived at their destination in "beautiful shape”. These bags were reused after cleaning the clothes. They lasted over a week stored in my rolling dress bag. made me believe The advice works! But I think those bags are the main reason; They are much heavier than any dry cleaning bag.
