I had an old belt, I still have it, but it was getting thin so I needed a new one. My old belt had a piece of metal bent backwards that worked perfectly. Whether it's a future donation to the Salvation Army or a burnt pile, it's absolute bullshit with its straight hook style or half-hook style. It always opens at the most inopportune moment, usually when you lift or twist something. Need some serious refinishing and angle the post back as needed to prevent it from coming loose. You see, people who buy seat belts need them to actually STAY buckled when they are put on those people.
