I bought it with Microsoft Surface I bought it to replace my laptop. This is a very good pen. It's metal, has a good weight and feels solid. The rubberized grip is not just a sleeve they put on metal so it doesn't easily slip around or off the pen. I didn't really understand the "slice" part because I thought it was all part of the pointing surface. It's actually just a plastic disk that fits over the end of a small dot. This gives the best on-screen feel in my opinion. You can point, click without worrying about screen or pen damage. I suppose if you put it in your pocket without covering the tip the disc will also help you avoid getting stabbed. The other "spongy" side is good for drawing and pressing buttons. I am a fat fingered person and this made the tablet experience so much better.
