Doesn't really seal the bottle. I have these on bottles of various sizes. . It might work if you use a pre-measured plastic spout. I prefer stainless steel spouts on my bottles. I was able to make a better seal by using a zip around it. So it CAN help keep bugs out, but it certainly won't help with evaporation or oxidation.
