About 25 years ago I tried an epilator and decided I would never do it again. I'm so glad my friend changed his mind. Shaving is exhausting and I don't have the money for a regular depilation. I was really happy that using it is less painful than waxing. When used once or twice a week, the epilator only pulls out part of the hair at a time because the hair grows unevenly. I started with the epilator head for beginners. Now that I've used it, I understand why it works well for this purpose. A razor is installed behind the epilation head. Any hair missed during the first pass of the epilation head is removed with a razor. This made the first session shorter and less uncomfortable. I think a hot bath helped too. The increase in the shaving part also resulted in variable hair growth. Now I mostly use a massage jet, the name of which is not entirely appropriate. He just scratches the skin gently to distract himself from the hair removal. This works very well for me. I don't even bother taking a hot bath anymore, I use the epilator after I'm dry from a shower. The best part is that each regrowth doesn't look as dark because it's just part of the regrowth at any given time. Individual hairs appear as usual, only fewer of them at any given time. That alone would sell me to an epilator! Very satisfied, I will never come back.
