I ordered this for my son to wear to school. He's 8 years old, soon to be 9, and when we put it on him, he was the same size all over the crown. Nothing hangs over the ears, so when you put it over the ears it covers the eyes, nose and mouth and it slips the year off. Don't stick to the years. I would recommend that an adult order and use a child size because it works better for me. I could actually put it on my ears even though they tightened them and made them stick out. I have very small ears and they don't usually stick out, so it was uncomfortable. However, he can only do this primarily through his nose and mouth. The idea was to put it over the ears so it doesn't slip off. He already has a cotton one but it was a bit big for her so I thought I'd buy him this one so he has to walk between them for a week but this one isn't even cotton. This is a very smooth material. I will say that when I put it on I could breathe easily enough but I thought he read it was cotton. Anyway, I don't recommend that for a kid. My son is not that small. He's tall for his age and it's a kid size and it still didn't fit him right. I suggest they adjust so it covers the nose and then falls down so it can be hooked over the ears. It would be helpful, if he were to take a bath before flattening his ears, or if small straps were slipped over his ears. In fact, he only has two slits on the sides of the mask for his ears to fit through and they just stick out, and that's just bad! I highly recommend this mask! Very cute and a good concept, but they should have hooks for the ears, not just slits.
