I'm in love. This monitor is great. The screen resolution is amazing, sharp and clear. The colors are bright. It's absolutely huge on my desktop. In fact, I have to learn new ways of working because for the first time I have such a large monitor with such a good screen resolution that not only was it easier for me to edit applications individually. Wind. There were no tools at all. You'll need to connect the base together, but it comes with a thumbscrew. Then tie the monitor to the base. I am connecting to a Surface Book using the Surface Dock. I plugged it in, turned on the machine and monitor, and everything happened. I didn't have to install any drivers or anything like that. Everything runs. It was originally a mirrored display, but changing it to an elongated one was easy. Then all I had to do was adjust the angle and position of the monitor on my desk. There are a number of preset display modes that you can also tinker with by adjusting brightness, color temperature and everything else. Operating the menus for them with the little buttons under the monitor is a bit fiddly, but you don't have to fiddle with them at all. It doesn't weigh at all and doesn't interfere with my fixed desk in any way.
