Review on πŸ›οΈ BJDesign Shikibuton Shiki Futon - Traditional Japanese Floor Bed - Double Volume Cotton Padding - Twin Size - Ideal for Apartments, Homes, and Studios by Kelley Zulkifli

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Comfortable but better suited to carpet/tatami floors

I don't have room for a desk so I just sit on the floor and use the kids foldable table for my laptop. I used to just sit on a pillow but settled on one as I can actually lie down to watch videos and fall asleep watching it if I want with the ability to remove it if I need my floor space. Also, I have an older dog who has trouble jumping on the bed to interact with me. When it arrives it's not vacuum sealed so it stays fluffy with no weird smells or anything like that. It's decently comfortable and I haven't had any back pain from it. A double size bed sheet is laid over this. BUT it is definitely more suitable for carpet or real tatami which is a bit flexible. I definitely still feel my hard floor underneath, especially in the parts that flex to fold the futon. But since I didn't have any pain or sleep problems, I can't complain. But I'm thinking about buying a foldable tatami mat to put underneath. I also wish it came with a strap or something to keep it folded when put away; I only tie the belt, I have to keep it folded while it's out.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
