Really wanted to use it to attach a Sony compatible flash to a monopod without worrying about the flash falling off. However, a Sony flash with a multi-interface shoe is not suitable. The thickened trailing edge of the Sony hot shoe ridge prevents the flash from sliding far enough to get through and block the fuse. If the safety bee had been placed a millimeter or two further back it would have worked (but then it might not work as well for other standard shoe types). It's a shame because this item is very well designed and I'm sure it will work well with other standard hot shoes.
