Review on KEF LSX Wireless Music System (White by Shaun Jdi ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

If your task is to get the best possible sound But at the same time A) you don’t want to clutter up the house with all these hi-fi wires and boxes B) you don’t want to bother with the settings and simply throw sound from a TV set or computer or smartphone, etc. C) budget up to 100,000 - then KEF LSX is perhaps the best option on the market. BUT you should not expect a violation of the laws of physics - there is not enough bass in them. The solution is very simple: buy them a Subic. I bought a bushy Subic Monitor Audio - the issue price is 12 - 18,000. For the money, this is a decent subwoofer for these speakers. At the same time, in the KEF application, you need to set the cutoff frequency so that not the entire sound range goes to Subic, but what is below 60-80 hertz. Above is not necessary. the frequencies above the speakers pull themselves perfectly - if they are put on the sub, it will mumble. In total, together with a subwoofer, you will receive a wireless system with a budget of less than 90,000 (or even cheaper), which will cover a room up to 20 sq. m. into the lung. Do you want to watch a movie, do you want to arrange a party, do you want to listen to quiet high-quality music. For these bugs and in this form factor, I don’t know how to do it better .

Pros
  • The sound quality is right for the size. For this money you can buy the best passive bookshelf speakers, but the whole point of these speakers is that for this money you get an amplifier, "receiver" and wireless + very good sound quality in mid and high frequencies. Even at a very high volume, they do not begin to rattle, heavy ones stand very tightly. They look elegant.
Cons
  • 1. Do not wait for the WOW effect. bass is still lacking. BUT! this cannot be considered a disadvantage in full. it is necessary to take into account the size of the speakers - physically there is nowhere to take a powerful bass from - see the comment how to fix it. 2. Connection - again, this is not a lack of speakers, it is rather a lack of modern protocols in general: the sound is clear on bluetooth, but there is not enough detail (and these speakers can give very cool detail), on AUX - better with detail, but radio pickups appear to the wire. We need optics - but not all computers have optics, and certainly not in smartphones.
