I bought them for my 5 year old son. He was interested in tap shoes and practically begged for them. He usually wears a size 10. I followed the suggestions in the comments to increase the size. I bought size 11. They look tight but when he put them on they fit just right. The drawstring ensures that the shoe fits snugly. There's not much room in the back, but he dances around the house without a sock. I think there is enough space to put one on. He is very happy :-)
