Good brightness. You can see in my photo how it looks 100% with the light off in the main kitchen. The dimmer offers 4 brightness options (25, 50, 75 or 100%). Installation was pretty easy. I decided to hook up my own instead of wired as I'm not very good at electrical work and renting them wasn't in the budget. I used the glue that came in the package to stick the lights under the cabinets and it's holding up really well. We have spacers between our cabinets so I routed the wires between the cabinets and connected them on top of the cabinets where there is a small ledge to hide them (instead of trying to hide clutter at eye level). It worked pretty well - I used a coat hanger to thread the wires coming out of the lights through the tiny gaps so I didn't have to drill. Then I connected them all together at the top. This method worked because I don't have many closets, so I didn't have to run the wires too far. Once in place I used clear tape to seal the pieces of wire leading to the light pucks underneath, eliminating any lingering. I had some concerns about this method because it meant the receiver would be hidden on top of cabinets, but the remote works well even when not pointing directly at the light. The light does not heat up at all! I leave them on all night and they feel cool. The light looks very natural (warm white).
