It was a bit difficult to choose a paper shredder because we wanted a security level 5 with smaller pieces of shredded paper and the descriptions of many others were level 4 but the size of the piece of paper was level 5 so was it confusing. We couldn't have been happier spending a little more, this one advertises a 60 minute run time and I wouldn't dispute that but I flipped through a case of end of year newspaper in 30 minutes with no problem. While doing this I ran it at 10 sheets at a time and it stopped, at 8 sheets it stopped, at 7 sheets it stopped, at 6 sheets and I tried several times with regular weight paper to make sure. It's really quiet, what you'll hear is a little motor noise but mostly paper crunching. The pieces of paper are as small as we wanted, measuring 2mm x 13mm. The overall size is great, not much bigger than the other shredder it has replaced and the bin shows shreds through the window from 80 sheets and is about 150-160 sheets full.
