I really didn't want a lace up shoe for my quick 2 mile desert hikes. I have hills and rocks and my other lightweight Skechers were a bit lacking in support. They fit perfectly, are easy to put on and take off, feel good and don't chafe. The only thing is that it might not be as soft as we would like. But I'm used to it and it's probably good to have a firm sole for hiking. There is good support.
