They are great at absorbing moisture. My baby is 2 months old and we use them for a quick change on her changing table and on her bed/sofa. When her diaper leaked, there were still no leaks. However, they say they are dry proof and after washing and drying 5-10 times a piece the waterproof plastic backing starts to peel off. They probably won't last as long as I was hoping, but I still highly recommend getting these waterproof pads so you don't end up wiping urine at random spots where you change diapers. (Because you'll ALWAYS end up diapering your baby, even if you think you'll always be using your changing table)
