Dishwashable. Not suitable for wiping counters. Does not absorb well and leaves floors damp. That's why I only use it to wash dishes. You don't have much time to say how long they will last. But the dishes wash up well, and when you wring them out, they don't seem to get bad odors that easily. I wash them in the dishwasher when I work to keep them clean.
