My cat weighs just over 10 pounds and fits in, size aside. He has long legs and cannot stand up in them, but feels more comfortable because he doesn't slide around too much. He's slept in it once or twice because I keep him where he sees him every day, so I hope he's lost his sensitivity to that. It can be fastened with seat belts, which I think is very important. I want the grid to allow you to see the cat and get a good look at it. The only trip is the vet so I can't talk about long trips for the animal.
