Hip Flask Disappointment

I bought this because the New York Times Wirecutter said it was the best water bottle. I bought a model with a straw to drink water in the car. When I first used it, it spread all over the car even though the straw's mouthpiece was capped. It must be because the water has warmed up and expanded. Pouring the water is also often difficult, it feels like there is a vacuum in the bottle. Opening the air cap will help release. And I don't know how to clean the inside of a straw. All in all I'm really disappointed.
