Great, Friendly, Comfortable - 1 Year Update

This is fantastic. I don't know about quality issues for others as mine were untouched. I like the way they sound and I paired them with a Monolith THX DAC/amp. I put them on to check the audio and listened to music for 40 minutes before returning to reality. I feel completely comfortable in them. The sound is friendly, but still detailed and balanced, which is difficult to achieve. I love testing the headphones with the Fleetwood Mac and they have been very satisfactory in every way. They're accurate without sounding harsh, but I wouldn't use them as mixing/mastering headphones even though they're flat. You just sound too good. They're perfect for listening at home and the Black Friday 699 price is worth it. I wish they had a 3.5mm cable with a 1/4 adapter and a balanced 4 pin XLR cable. Instead it is 3.5mm with 1/4 converter + standard 1/4 inch cable. Why? Excellent purchase. hope they hold up. A+ 1 year has passed. They sound a little better, but otherwise exactly the same. I wear them 8 hours a day at work. The ear pads are surprisingly good, which baffles me as I was expecting them to disintegrate faster. I think that's because they sit on my head and don't move or rub. The only thing I would like to say about this is that you probably need a powerful bass amp for normal listeners. They have a huge range, but most recordings don't trigger bass extension without EQ. I personally like them absolutely flat, and live recordings from the 70's sound surprisingly good in this configuration. I love her.
