I have had this cable from Planet Waves for over 5 years. I hate tuning without it because the tool change is silent. I called all the record stores but to no avail. I just found this, so I'm buying supplements! I have a great Mogami cable that I will be using for my backup setup as well. This is a necessary thing. Yes, they make a straight plug version for Strat users. I got my guitarist to buy it and he doesn't want to come back either. Buy either this connector or a full 20 foot cable. Everyone I show/share this to wants to have it after seeing how easy it is to use and the benefits proven immediately.
