I first bought this to protect my face while skiing to keep warm and to comply with COVID-19 restrictions. It worked exactly how I hoped it would by staying in place and keeping me warm. Unfortunately, after about an hour the item was visibly wet from my speaking and breathing near my mouth, and after a couple of hours it was definitely wet. I took it off while climbing and even when it was wet it didn't bother me. mainly because the fabric was far enough away from my face but next time I use it for skiing I plan to just use it to warm my face and not wear it all the time.
