I bought this XLR splitter to split lead vocals from FOH to my monitor stand. It worked great for this use and I've never had any signal loss or power issues. I started using a transformer isolated XLR splitter after we started playing big venues and stopped using the splitter. My only issue with the Hosa Y-splitter is that the length of the cable from jack to plugs is very short, so short that the mic cables are sticking out of the mic stand when I plug it into our lead singer's mic. . This would be great on a guitar mic or placed somewhere near the ground or horizontally, but looks a little weird when picked up from a vertical mic stand.
