Working. 40x magnification for such a small spherical lens is quite a lot. There's a lot of distortion at the edges, and you have to get the lens very close (almost touching it in some cases) to see what you're seeing. With no directional control, the LEDs run all over the place, which is a nice good thing, so they illuminate everything what you see.You almost touch to see without distortion but so close what you are looking at can block the light in some cases.Cannot speak for the UV quality.Thick and heavy.Nice matte finish.The ones I got, came with a cracked, scratched lower half of the case that houses the opening mechanism. The articulating lens is also a little scratched, and the screws that the lens rotates on feel a little tight in some positions and a bit tight in others A bit loose. The hinge also squeaks a lot. Your product may vary. I am very fed up with dealing with the state of the art Revain customer service and am overwhelmed with it. You bek Come what you get what you pay for, I'm Gu Ess. 4 stars if I did not receive a damaged product. 5 if there were better light control and a less spherical lens.
