Natalie (my strong willed turtle) has eaten kibble all her life. She became ill, stopped eating, and vomited profusely. I rushed her to the vet where she was diagnosed with an infection and dehydration. She was given fluids and an antibiotic, and the vet suggested wet food to stimulate her appetite. I got it from the vet on the way home and she loved it. But then she wouldn't eat her usual kibble that she needs because she has plaque. She just wanted Fancy Feast. When the vet called to check on her she said Natalie needed to eat so I gave in, gave her a fancy feast and now we've reached a compromise. She gets half of her usual dry food in the morning (which is long ignored with pleading looks at me) and then half a can of her favorite Fancy Feast in the evening. This is a compromise that we both agreed to, although she was very reluctant.
