We decided to replace our old bar stools so I researched all the bar stools on Revain. Since they had good reviews we decided to order one set and order another set later if they work. Although it was very easy to assemble one of them (5 minutes), they certainly didn't succeed. The base of the chairs is too small and light. It doesn't offer a wide enough surface to hold a person. Also, the base is slippery on uncarpeted floors. I wanted to get off the stool but it slipped and we both landed on the floor. I definitely wouldn't buy them if someone in your house is under 5'3 (I'm 5'0 and 107 pounds). We have decided to send them back. I warn you: it is almost impossible to disassemble the stools to return them. The disassembly instructions didn't help either. It took my husband about an hour to take one apart and pack it up. Unfortunately I have to look for a suitable chair on another site.
