Review on Sony WI1000X/B: Black Wireless Behind-Neck In-Ear Headphones with Premium Noise Cancelling by Abhey Dancer ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfactory product quality, good price.

In general, the headphones left a positive impression: the sound quality is good for the money (yes, 20 is not expensive at all, HI-FI ears are many times more expensive), the first thing I noticed was the presence of a stage for such a form factor. pretty good stereo panorama. The sound is clear and transparent, the low frequencies are elastic and do not load at all. NC works great: I often fly in an airplane (Bombardier DASH-8 200/400 turboprop, whoever flew knows what kind of rumble is in the cabin) before I had to turn the volume up to the maximum to watch a movie or listen to music, with NC you can safely watch a movie at a volume of 25 % and not hear engine sounds, NC also perfectly cuts off other background noises (for example, when traveling by car with poor sound insulation or snoring spouse). The microphone is disgusting, judging by the comments of the interlocutors, they hear badly, in noisy places they don’t hear at all. The biggest minus for me is that I basically don’t like in-ear ears and try to avoid them for the reason that my ears hurt from them, but since I have MDR wired ones and I needed compact ears for flights, the choice fell on IW -1000X, however, even in them, after half an hour of use, the ears start to hurt terribly. I hope custom ear pads will fix the situation. If you are used to in-ear headphones and need high-quality sound, NC, a long-lasting battery and all this in a wireless version, the IW-1000x will be a good choice for you.

Pros
  • Good sound, convenient form factor, holds a charge well, NC, design and assembly are excellent, rich kit, hybrid driver, etc.
Cons
  • Pretty mediocre microphone, interlocutors often complain about voice quality. My ears start to hurt after half an hour of use.

Has some pros Worthy for your money more than 12 hours of work without recharging - I did not find such at such a price and quality Got cons: some abrasions and slightly "breaks small parts" plugs often fly out (they detach by themselves and can be lost)

I took it, hoping for the opportunity to listen to audiobooks in the subway. With active noise cancellation turned on, turned to max, in old trains you can’t hear either audiobooks or music.
