It is very difficult to install springs. We had a shared box spring so we ordered 2. When we finally got them on (which took 3 of us) we put on a mattress topper. MY GOD. It was so hard to do. Even if you buy a box spring and a mattress topper, they will be slippery. My elderly parent sat on the bed and immediately slid down. Putting a piece of styrofoam between the mattress and the box spring can help. I ended up returning them because my dad hit his head falling out of bed (they were literally on the bed less than half an hour).
