I bought zippers to use in box seat cushions that I make for my sofa. Size 5 is meant to be purchased for this type of project. First I had to figure out how to attach the zippers. First cut the desired length and open the spool a couple of inches. Then trim one side of the zipper about 1/4 inch. I'm right-handed, so I cut the right side (the right side of the zipper shows me). Guide the curved end of the zipper pull, slide it down the prongs about 1/16 inch, you will feel it fasten. Then slide the shorter end up so the short end hooks onto the tongue. Zip all the way down and back up, you're ready to install. I find it easier to zip over the curved armrest of the chair when I start to close it, if that helps. a few of them, you will totally understand. Nylon ones are a bit easier to launch than metal ones. However, they are more difficult to flash. Overall, this is a must have for boxing cushion making.
