Makes me feel safe walking on ice
Melting and freezing snow can make MN hikes very icy. I have tried different brands of spikes or grips on my boots to avoid falls. I prefer Korker's pimple spools to other brands. I also appreciate how securely they are attached to my boots - others have detached from my boots and gotten lost while walking in the deeper snow.
