Review on Tamron 10 24Mm 3 5 4 5 Aspherical Digital Camera & Photo by David Carmody

This is a great lens at a great price and makes a great gift for those who don't know what to gift the photographer in their life. Based on my husband's personal shooting experience, he says this lens is sharpest at f5.6 - f8. but the sharpness sweet spot is slightly smaller. Flare is well controlled and is most noticeable in turns. Focusing performance is good, even in low light. Focus speed and accuracy are good. The focus ring of this model rotates. He pointed out that the front element does not rotate while focusing, not sure if this will be an issue for others. The performance of 24mm is useful in some situations. He found that an approximation could be reached. I've read other reviews that say the 24mm close-up isn't great, but says he found it worked very well. All in all a good choice in a useful focal length range and at a good price. I would recommend this lens. When used correctly, this lens gives very good results.
