the mirror is very bright you can increase or decrease the brightness of the light. It has a cord to plug in, so no batteries are required. It comes with a smaller Magnify mirror. This is great if you're doing eyebrows or anything else you need to do up close. I love it. It arrived on time, there were no problems with it when it arrived.
