When I was remodeling my garage to create a home office and studio a few years ago, I needed recessed lighting on occasion, but I wanted to save a few bucks. Stupid action. Learn from me - always buy recessed lighting if you can afford it. After banging on the table and knocking over and tearing a glass lamp into pieces, I decided to look for ways to mount a pair of taller lamps on the wall. I stumbled across them and decided to give it a try. They're great for Lifx smart lights, and the fact that they plug into an outlet means I don't have to hire an electrician to rip out some drywall just to hook them up. I have a tall bar on the back wall of my office, and now they just sit there (they don't need to be wall mounted, which is pretty cool), but they will be wall mounted soon enough. They have a good angle, they look good and they do their job well. And since similar products cost twice as much, I can't complain at all. I'm thinking of buying two more for the front of my office.
