Light duty at best. VERY EASY JOB!

For light use only. Made a 12 inch piece with a D ring on each end and hung 50 pounds from it to test my seams, the webbing was warped and stretched 4 inches. Was very surprised that my backpacks often exceed 50lbs. I kept adding weight and it kept stretching, it's maxed out at 200 pounds and it's never quite failed, but my 12 inch piece is now 20 inches long. Made a new one and tried doubling the straps and at 200lbs the 12" part stretched to 16" (no permanent stretch at 50lbs). In theory, doubling the straps and stitching them together should triple the carrying capacity, but only double it. (For those who want to argue, I said theoretically. The strength of a solid rope or wire increases exponentially with size. Strength from 1/4 to 3/8 inch doubles, from 3/8 to 11/32 inch. triples strength, from 11/32" to 1/2" - four times).
