Purchased in October 2017. It was used with a Pixel 2. When it arrived it was the best suction cup I've had. He stayed in place and never fell, that is, until last month. It's been bouncing around a lot over the past month and I noticed that the suction cup was still securely attached to the windshield, but the plastic fastener was no longer locked in place. I tried putting it back on, but it never tightened any more than it already was. Then I took it off to look at it and then I saw the problem. The part that pulls the mount to the suction cup was plastic and half broken. So half of the plastic piece was still attached along with the spring. This held the bracket in place. When I left my office yesterday, I found the mount was on the floorboard and the suction cup was still stuck to my window. So it took 10 months before it was covered in dust and 9 months before it started to fail. If this piece of plastic was made out of a stronger material I think it would be the holy grail of suction cups as the locking mechanism is great. it's just not made for the latter.
