It took me some time to choose a cute baby small enough for a four month old to play with under supervision. From my point of view you want the item to be small to minimize the chance of a child throwing it in the face. I'm not looking for a blanket, just something a child can hug without being overwhelmed. This item is the correct size. The facial features are a little sloppy with different sized ears or horns, but they look sewn together well enough that light gnawing won't be too much of a problem. But I won't let you suck unsupervised because of all the sewn-on elements. I chose the giraffe because neither the ear nor the horn are too long to be swallowed very easily.
