Using the keyboard with 4-door access controller

Advantages: product looks stylish and professional, nice touchpad, good backlight, nice bell button. Cons: Status LED cannot be controlled externally. and beeper. Figured out how keystrokes work with the UHPPOTE 4 door controller, do the following: 1) Connect +12, Gnd, D1 and D2. 2) in Manager: Extras->Extended Functions->Configuration->Supercheck "Enable Hot Keypad". 3) Restart the application. OPTIONAL: Master PINs for direct access (e.g. police/fire brigade/etc) 4) in dispatcher: Configuration->Pwd MGT->Controller password (master standalone PIN, there can be a maximum of 4). Now you can create any number of users with their own "card number" (sorry I don't know if there is a minimum number of digits) and these plus the PIN field will allow them to enter: So config-> Personnel->(add or change) should open the user window and on the Basic tab you can enter the card number and PIN (assuming you set up Bob Dahl employee with card number 123456 and set his PIN to 4455). Dial *123456#4455# and the door opens Okay, a little worse: the program doesn't report the difference between a physical gesture and manual input + PIN Also, it would be very nice to have a one-time PIN code list with codes (at least a few dozen entries) in addition to the 4 basic PIN codes. Update: It's a pity that the firmware of this device, when connected as a Wiegand reader, cannot change the behavior t LED and beep once briefly when reading, like a normal reader, and have OPEN or D_IN inputs that control the LED and beep , just like a regular reader, so you can connect it to the access controller's LED output. I don't even know if it's possible to flash the firmware onto the device.

Pros
  • Can be used as a standalone keyboard
Cons
  • High price
