Review on πŸ”¨ Galvanized Steel Pegboard Wall Control System by Dan Reggae

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Quality is good but installation could be easier

The design of the panels appears to be good in terms of overall functionality, but there is one important point to consider before purchasing and installing them. For some reason the mounting holes are not 16" on center but 15 1/2" meaning that when you line up the center holes you have 1/4" to try and hit the two outer studs . Good luck with it! Looking at the instructions you might think your holes should be 16 inches apart but as you can see from the photos I shared you will fail if you do this. There's a good chance you can hit two of the three studs, but you'll probably have to use drywall mounting inserts for the other two holes. The whole time I tried to install it I kept asking "why?" Overall I think it's good value for money, but I'd ask the designers to come up with something better and save us all some frustration. trying to install an item that was not designed properly. I added a small strip of soft insulating foam along the back to help it fit better and reduce noise that could be caused by the unit rattling against the wall. (See photo)

Pros
  • SECURE AND EASY TO ASSEMBLE PEGBOARD: Pegboard Wall Metal Racks are easy to install and include mounting hardware. Unlike brands that imitate perforated metal panels, Wall Control Pegboard Racks feature full return mounting flanges that mount flush to the wall. This allows the screw head to pass through the surface of the panel for a solid connection to the wall and screw fully into the wall for a firm and secure hold.
Cons
  • New Competitors Arrive
