I installed it on a 2005 GMC pickup. Fits in the belt buckle with no problem. It was well locked. Went for a walk with the dog and it worked out great. Tries to erase, won't let go. I tried different things to make letting go easier, nothing worked. I ended up having to stick a butter knife through the buckle to loosen it. Never had a problem with a buckle that wouldn't come loose when using a car seat belt. Tested after I was able to unbuckle the seat belts and the car seat belt latched and unbuckled with no issues. My dog is about 35 pounds and didn't go crazy when we drove so it didn't hurt her. When I first tried to loosen it, I felt the buckle buckle, so I stopped putting pressure on it. The buckle was slightly bent when I took it off. It also had some scratches and dents from trying to remove it. These weren't just scratches on the surface, they were in the metal. Part of the buckle is obviously made of a softer metal than a standard seat belt, as these buckles don't scratch as badly and are extremely difficult to bend. Too bad because I liked the suspension. He adjusted well and protected my dog but was still able to move. However, if he doesn't release it, it's useless.
