I was disappointed that the label says they need to be drip dried but I figured since I ordered them much larger than I needed they would be ok if they tumble dried if artificial textile threads don't melt or start a fire. I dried them on the lowest "delicate" setting and not only did they go through the cycle without melting or burning, I don't think they shrunk. Your mileage may vary depending on the temperature range of your equipment, so a no-heat cycle or clothesline is probably still the safest route.
