I've spent a lot of time looking at different bookcase options for my 2 1/2 year old and I'm so glad I chose these! First, this is one of the few that doesn't require assembly. It comes in a big box, you open it and put it in your room. That's all! The bookshelf itself is very sturdy and the perfect height for a toddler. It holds about 15 books in total (I put 3 large books on the top shelf and a few gold and similar sized books on the bottom shelves). I was so pleased with the quality that I bought two and placed them side by side to double the capacity. While 15 books isn't that many, it's less for storage and more for giving your little one a few books to browse through so she can see the covers. Since I bought it her interest in reading has skyrocketed because she actually sees book covers! I change books regularly to keep the exhibition fresh and interesting for you. You will not regret this purchase!
