Lamp does as advertised and colors are spot on. These lights can hold their own very well in the field of smart lighting. It even has built-in WiFi as well as Bluetooth, allowing you to natively connect to Alexa/Google hubs. There's even support for third-party automation software and services, but that doesn't work here. Unlike other products that allow you to control most functions such as scenes (the other lights function allows you to set light source presets, e.g. in application groups or other functions only available in their application) . This restricts all but the two integrations already mentioned to spot colors only. However, for some of them I'd like to be able to set up a few different color schemes or use built-in animations that I can run with one of my home smart hubs like Home Assistant or Hubitat. If we could do that, Govee would dominate the other competitors! Another understandable caveat is that there are speed caps if you connect to a third-party service via their API. This means, for example, if you synchronize your computer screen with another backlit product that has lighting so that the backlight can change dynamically, then Govee products cannot be considered. Their API only allows a small number of changes per minute, and when you sync your lights to the screen, a constant stream of changes needs to be sent to the lights in order for them to keep up. Being a small business I understand that there is a limit to them saving some money and to be honest this can be worked around. PLEASE LET'S RUN SCENES FROM API AND THEY WILL BE EPIC!
