UPDATE: After I gave a 2 star rating below, the seller contacted me. They reported that the product was changed and improved in response to customer feedback. They offered to send me a new product for free, test it and share their opinion on the new product. Since it was free and I was desperate for the perfect pillow, I said yes. The package arrived within a week. The new pad has a removable pad at the bottom which I think is for thickness adjustment. I am 5ft 2in and my husband is 5ft 10in. We both tried the pillowless pillow and liked it. The contour hugs our neck and keeps our head straight. I sleep on my side and the pillow seems to be working fine. As promised to the seller, I am giving honest information after trying a new and improved product. I give 4 stars for the pillow and an extra star for the excellent customer service. If you are considering this product, please make sure that it is a newly upgraded product. ORIGINAL: (2 stars) The contour of the neck is actually much higher which causes my neck to curve. For reference, I am a 5'2" female and this pillow is too thick for me. I have no complaints about the quality of foam or fabric.
