Works for me, installation is easy despite reviews

so I got these and after reading some feedback on using springs I thought I'd share my experience. Not all light housings are the same. In my case there are 2 springs in my case that hold the groove and ceiling board in place. Remove the two springs and this assembly will fall out of the light housing. Inside the stock are two metal protrusions on either side that normally fold flush with the body when not in use. All you have to do is pry them open with a screwdriver and gently bend the ends inward to hold the retaining springs on the replacement light. So pull back the tabs, place one side of the light springs INSIDE these mounting tabs, plug in the light, change the color temperature you want, and then bend the second set of springs onto the tabs and gently push the light up the ceiling. Finished. I need 2 minutes to install each lamp. I hope this helps readers who are stuck with installation issues.

Pros
  • Very easy installation: no additional accessories required. Instead of traditional springs, they can be installed in new and old 5" or 6" C-Clamp installation housings. The standard E26 base makes it easy to screw into the jug.
Cons
  • Obsolete model
