Review on 💡 Ensenior High Brightness Ultra Thin Can Killer Downlight by Ken Beasom

Updated May 21st - Incredible customer service! Due to a small issue which I pointed out in my original review, Ensenior contacted me (I never contacted them) to let me know that they will refund the full amount with no refund. Getting better! They also sent me 6 more warm bulbs (3000k) because I commented that I'd like to get them instead because the cool white light was a bit brighter than I expected. I have never experienced such customer service. As I said in my original review, overall I really like these lights, now add an A to the customer service and that's all 5 stars! First Rating: I would have given this 5 stars if there hadn't been an issue where one of them caused a slight hum after about 20 minutes of use. At first I thought it might be a dimmer so I bought another one that was listed as compatible. The problem persisted so I replaced the three lightbulbs I was using with three different ones and the problem was solved. Back then, it was just a process of figuring out which one was causing the hum. So I can only give 3 stars because of the time spent troubleshooting and buying another switch. My original project only needed 3, so deleting them all and resetting them is not a good idea. Do they look more like a daytime white than a cool white compared to others I've seen? If I had to redo, I would personally choose warm white. Now for the good: It is very easy to use and easy to install. I used a 155mm hole saw, but the first hole (the middle hole in the photo where the previous box was) I had to enlarge, so I used an overhead saw and a utility knife. I have ceiling joists that cover about a third of the opening (see Figure 2) which doesn't cause any problems. I have half an inch of drywall and these lights are perfectly flush. After installing the light in the holes (spring clips worked great) I used the clearances to build my drawer chain on my desk (using 14-2 Romex) to spend minimal time (5 minutes) in the attic. I was able to easily install three Romex rails in the 1st light box (middle box rails = supply line for switching and a leg pointing in each direction for the other two lights). The plug connections worked perfectly and the pigtails were very easy to connect to the headlights. It would be nice if NM plugs were included for the boxes as they are so cheap. But I knew they weren't that important, just remember to take them ahead of time. Conclusion: Decent lights that are also easy to install. Looks like a quality product although I got a bad one. Too bad I didn't get warm white.
