Price $189.99 from Revain at time of order ($159.95 on ThinkScan website) for enthusiasts - do-it-yourself with decent ones Features compared to minimal code readers such as OBD, scan function, maintenance and service function, ThinkStore, repair info, setup and update. Manual in 8 different languages, fairly detailed instructions for use with device screenshots to follow the steps described. The design of the device is a great ergonomic design with a built in grip which I found useful, a sturdy, shockproof body with a slightly recessed touchscreen. Usage - I have used the device. on a 2011 Ford F-150. After you connect the device, it will take a few minutes to boot up. Fairly intuitive home screen, first ran a diagnostic scan which took about 1020 seconds to scan and read all the DTCs. I had to clear a code for the airbag sensor which was very easy to clear with a confirmation notification in the software. Note: The device displayed the truck's output voltage at the top of the screen the entire time I was using it, which was nice. The maintenance function was easy, with many items (28 in total) from general maintenance such as oil change to battery calibration, ABS exhaust, brake pad reset, steering angle reset, etc., all of which are also detailed in the instructions. The software has a nice "report" feature that allows you to save the current diagnostic results as a diagnostic report. The device also supports Wi-Fi, which allows you to transfer and send reports via email. I haven't used the "Read Data Stream" feature, but I see from the guide that this might be a useful feature for higher-level DIYers. Show current performance with the ability to provide graphs, reports and record vehicle performance. In the end I'm very happy with the ThinkScan Plus S5, great features, features at a reasonable price.
