Large backpack ideal for hiking or walking

This large backpack is designed for hiking. I bought this for my husband's bag (aka an emergency kit or escape bag). It serves this purpose perfectly. The color is very dark blue - my husband's favorite color so that's an argument in his favour. It fits more things than I can carry so it's pretty roomy. More than I expected! It has a large compartment for clothes, blankets, groceries, water, etc. There are two deep zipped pockets, one on each side, where you can store small items that you need quick access to, such as a wallet. B. a can opener, an arsonist. Tools, flashlight or glow sticks and so on. There is another zippered pocket on the top flap, which is also convenient for items you don't need to rummage through. The whole thing is tightened with a drawstring, then the top flap is lowered and fastened to keep the contents safe. The backpack has many straps so you can tighten them to compress the size or you can strap on extra items like a sleeping bag or small tent. Shoulder straps are padded and adjustable. There are also waist and chest straps so you feel totally secure with everything zipped up. The only problem is that this backpack is designed for someone much taller than me. I'm small (5ft 3in) and 4/6, and even with the straps as tight as possible, it was too big for me. This would be unsafe and inconvenient. I bought it for my husband --- and it fits him perfectly! However, I was hoping to buy a second backpack for myself. Seems like I'll have to find another brand designed specifically for women. In any case, it should be a little smaller because I can't carry such a heavy load. a bag etc. Not really recommended for air travel as it is quite large and unlikely to be accepted as carry-on when fully loaded. Also, I wouldn't recommend it for petite women or teens as you won't be able to tighten the straps enough for it to fit.
